yahoo mess. won't let me sign in? then it says something about proxy setting

ect. 10 pts? when i do try and change the proxy setting from yahoo messenger it won't let me click anything else like conversations, webcam super webcam?What can I do so I can sign in

A temporary problem on Yahoo's end. If you can normally sign in, wait a few minutes and try again. If it still doesn’t work, your Yahoo! Messenger connection information may be incorrect. It won't let you do other stuff until you sign on "successfully". Messenger is asking you if you want to change settings so it can try to sign on again. Do "not" use proxy settings for a home computer. If this is a computer at work, ask your local admin or IT guy what proxy settings to use. Try turning off your Firewall temporarily to see if that is the problem.
