website set up through a proxy site?
i need to know how to locate the owner of a website that set up the website through a proxy site like domains by proxy.thanks!i was able to find out through whois.com that the site in question is registered by domains by proxy. they say they won't give out the registrant's info w/ out a supeona or request from law enforcement. i just need to know who is running a gossipy attack site that has hurt alot of people.

Contact the Proxy Service. If they have a domain try WHOIS.http://www.networksolutions.com/whois/index.jsp

If they have their own domain name you will be able to use the whois command on the Internet.However, it appears that the site is hosted by another company and not directly by the individual.Did you check already the HTML source code of the site in question? Sometimes the programmer will place copyright notes that are not visible on screen. That might give you some hints.Cheers!
