How to fix Proxy settings so that messengers work?
I have not been able to log onto any messenger for the last month or so. Not since I had to get my computer fixed. Now, nothing I do works to get onto messenger. I've done troubleshooting, and it says something about my Proxy/firewall settings not working. I've already checked firewall settings, and that is definitely not the problem.
So how can I fix my Proxy settings? I have Windows Vista Home Premium if that helps anything. I just really don't want to risk irritating my step dad with this problem since he was the one who fixed my computer a month ago and don't want to see ungrateful for it.
Someone please help!!! Im tired of not being able to video chat with friends away at school and even my dad who I haven't seen in months. It is really starting to irritate me!
I can adjust firewall settings, but all messengers are permitted by firewall to access the internet. I have no clue where to even look for proxy settings or anything like that to do anything about it.
