nph-proxy.cgi Problem will not open.?

I have a server set up with a nph-proxy.cgi file loaded on and pointed to active perl. But when i open it up in a browser it opens a command prompt with a few lines and closes straight away. Hope someone can help.Thanks in advance

It helps if you provide details about the server you are setting this up on .... like OS it is running, HTTP server software, etc...Having said that since you are running active perl, I can assume that you are running on a windows server. Make sure that a generic perl script is running on your system. For example one that does print "hello, world\n"Next after you are sure that you can run a perl script, you should look in your server logs for errors. Perhaps you haven't identified .cgi scripts as executable files, in the server config. Or perhaps the server doesn't have access permissions. The logs should help track this down.If it seems that you can run CGI scripts try a simple cgi script that prints hello world to verify that CGI scripts can work at all. It should be a perl script. This is a simple perl hello world for cgirint
