what does proxy mean for computers and how should I set it to install...
...yahoo messanger? I"m trying to install messanger but it says my proxies are not correct.I have windows XP on an HP laptop. As far as I know, I don't have a firewall. I have McAfee security.But my main questions are what are proxy settings, and how should I set them for my situation?
